Leading with professionalism, integrity, and empathy, Sophie undertakes complex and sensitive independent workplace investigations and reviews that support organisations and their teams. Combining legal expertise with a human-centred approach, Sophie is committed to helping organisations navigate workplace issues efficiently and effectively.
Sophie is known as a respectful, empathetic, and personable collaborator who puts people at ease and fosters trust in even the most difficult circumstances.Prior to co-founding Woven in 2018, Sophie gained extensive legal experience working for various New Zealand law firms. She has completed the Association of Workplace Investigators Training Institute and is a Certificate Holder.

Sally brings a wealth of experience in conducting independent workplace investigations and reviews.Sally is committed to helping organisations be the best they can be. Her legal expertise equips her to handle complex workplace issues with care and precision.
Her litigation experience, combined with strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, makes her a highly effective investigator and reviewer. She balances efficiency with empathy, ensuring the process is thorough, fair and people-focused.
Before co-founding Woven, Sally worked at leading law firms in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, as well as serving as an in-house solicitor.

Kia is highly experienced in conducting investigations and reviews. She is known for her thorough and considered approach. Kia has worked on complex and wide-ranging investigations across Aotearoa, including issues of bullying, sexual misconduct, policy breaches, privacy and conflicts of interest.As a qualified lawyer with a deep understanding of workplace dynamics, Kia is skilled at handling sensitive matters with both professionalism and empathy. Kia has diverse cross-cultural experience that helps her understand and collaborate effectively with people from various backgrounds.
Kia studied law and criminology at the University of Auckland, graduating with honours. She received the Senior Scholar Award and the Faculty of Law Dean’s Academic Excellence Award. Her dissertations focused on medico-legal issues.
Kia is a member of the AWI and has completed the AWI Seminar Series on Investigations.

Our independent workplace reviews can help you identify and address any issues within a team or workplace early on. When something doesn’t seem right – where there is increased turnover, low employee survey results, high sick leave or informal concerns being raised - we take a deep dive. Our review process identifies what is working well, what is not and what can be done better. We build a rapport with your people to ensure they feel comfortable to share issues that are impacting them at work. We recommend practical steps to address any issues identified .
